From the skiing to the music, nothing about this edit is mellow. Tune into Shane Carmichael and Dom Melanson getting rowdy in Bralorne, BC. If you didn’t drink your coffee yet this morning, this edit is an acceptable substitute…
Get to know Mr. Callum Pettit a bit more as he talks about his ‘skiing vision’, upbringing and what he loves most about going down the mountain on two planks. Pretty awesome pow skiing in this one along with some big lines that Callum tears to pieces!
The Deep Winter Photo Contest recently took place inbounds at Whistler Blackcomb. The contest allows photographers 3 consecutive days to capture the magic, and this year conditions were tough with no new snowfall. In taking first place this year, Robin did an incredible job documenting “the young and old of Whistler’s best.”
We have nothing but good things to say about this athlete remix from MSP except maybe Heim makes it all look *too* easy. Smooth, stompy and powerful are three adjectives I’d choose to use when describing James’ skiing. As always, MSP’s stuff is top shelf and 8 minute clips like this make it hard for us to go out and buy any sort of ski movie. Check it!
To be honest, this quick short of PYB and Hugo Harrison last season is as good of skiing as we’ve seen. To think this wont make a ski movie these days is…umm…scary??
After an amazing comp season, Sammy Carlson went to Whistler for 3 months and piled up more footage than could fit into one segment. Here is the leftover footage from Poor Boyz Productions: The Grand Bizarre along with footage from Nike. Enjoy!
It seems like every ski company these days is releasing short edits of their numerous pro athletes shredding, and rarely do they disappoint. The Kastle Pro Team edit is no exception! Enjoy traveling around the round with the Kastle’s Pro Athletes seeing what they do best, rip!
Dana Flahr has been taking advantage of the 11/11 snow conditions at Whistler/Blackcomb. And what are those fun looking skis, you might ask? According to Dana they’re an Atomic prototype called the AUTOMATIC that’s “basically a 186 and 192 cross somewhere between the Benchetler and the Atlas.”
Looking back on 6 days and nights Embedded at the Peak of Whistler Mountain, pro skier Mike Douglas pays tribute to the hard-working men and women, and the intense coast mountain storms that he witnessed. Reflecting on the beauty of a mountain in transformation, seen from inside the story, Mike concludes what every passionate skier and rider knows in their heart – it’s all about snow!
We posted the trailer a while back however, Voleurz has dropped their “That’s Fine” film online…FO FREE! Enjoy 37 minutes of mountain goodness from deep pow, pillows, cliffs, airs, jibs and more. For those wondering Voleurz is a clothing company out of Western Canada. Check out their website to view their collection…
With one day left until opening day at Whistler/Blackcomb, Mike Douglas helps the ski patrol get ready for the masses. High winds (142km p/h) and lots of snow make it not only difficult to have everything ready to go for opening day but also make it extremely hard to sleep in a small ski shack. Skiing doesn’t start until 3:19 however the lead up shows you just how much work goes into getting a resort ready for opening day!
