Powder, Powder and more Powder. You add some smooth style with awesome terrain and great conditions, you get you an awesome edit courtesy of Matt Heffernan. Enjoy as Mr. Heffernan rips around Brighton, Silverton and Wolverine Cirque. Thanks for passing this our way Matt, great POV!
Day two video from the Red Bull Cold Rush down in Silverton, CO. Possibly the most scenic slopestyle we’ve seen all year. Considering this is all the athletes first run through (we believe) this is pretty amazing stuff. Being the “Cliffs” portion of the competition has been cancelled, winners have already been crowned. Congrats to Dane Tudor and Rachel Burks for taking the top spot!
This event flat out rules. Here is the action from Day 1 during the Big Mountain segment at Silverton Mountain. The footage is amazing and the riding is insane! As always, Silverton Mountain provides the goods, stoked to see the footage from Day 2 & 3.
As with everything else Red Bull does, the Red Bull Cold Rush seems to be a high budget affair (at least by the standards of freeskiing anyways). The event will be going on at Silverton, CO March 14-18th with a stacked field. There are three separate venues/categories: Big Mountain, Slopestyle and Cliffs. Tune in for preview videos, footage from last year, athlete lists and more…
TJ David has put out some of the best POV edits over the course of the last year. This is no different. Good editing, solid soundtrack, good mix of angles (including plenty non POV) and top notch skiing from his crew dubbed “RME” (Rocky Mountain Elite). After watching, I now understand why Oprah and Tom Cruise bought houses in that tiny little town in SW ColoRADo.
ESPN Freeski takes us behind the scenes with the Level 1 crew as they shot their 2011 ski film, After Dark. In this weeks episode, Duncan Adams and Parker White along with other members of the Level 1 crew head south to Telluride to get in some heli-skiing. Enjoy!
Freeskier Magazine and Teton Gravity Research have teamed up this winter bring us a series of exclusive athlete profiles. In the premier episode, we get to know Smith Optics and Atomic Skis athlete Sage Cattabriga-Alosa. Easily one of the more enjoyable and exciting athletes to watch on film, Sage takes us thru his 2010/2011 winter season. He and the crew make stops at Baldface along with Revelstoke and eventually they find themselves in Alaska.
